We All Learn At a Different Pace

What did I learn about myself through my 4-H participation?

I learned that it is not easy to be 16 and on the edge of adulthood.

Head - to clear thinking, when giving your word to someone, think about how it will affect your heart if you buckle to peer pressure and go against your morals and ethics .

Heart - to greater loyalty; loyalty is something that is given freely and cannot be demanded or forced upon someone.

Hands - to larger service, you can only do what you feel is right and work hard to achieve your goals.

Health - to better living; if your word is your honor, and you stand fast to your morals and ethics; loyalty will come to you freely, your goals will be realized, and you will make a difference in the world around you.


I love 4-H !


Peer pressure is one of the hardest things we face; stay true to yourself no matter how hard it is and make a difference!

All Most Fair Time


It is just 30 days to fair time; I am putting the finishing touches on my sewing project. I have finished my quilt, canning, and leather projects and paper work.

I have started to wash and groom my steers every day, and I am working with my steers practicing my showing skill.

I am also working on my speech and modeling.

when it is all done I will have competed 7 different projects.
After the judging is over I will post pictures of all my projects and awards.

It Might Rain Tonight





It might rain tonight so Mom, Dad and I went out to tarp all our hay. We did not have enough tarps so we Call My uncle Darrel; he works for ITC Services inc. they make tarps. Uncle Darrel came right over and brought us a tarp and showed Dad how to put it on. Dad said it was the quickest and easiest tarps that he has ever used, and that we won't be buying tarps from any one but ITC from now on.

Western Heritage Gathering & Ranch Rodeo Was A Sucess!

My Grandma Helen, Grandpa Harold and I competed in the Draft horse competition and took home a total of 4 blue ribbons and 4 red ribbons.

As you can see the drivers in this contest came in all sizes and ages, It is a way of life for some here in Idaho. Driving a team of horses is fun and it keep are heritage alive.

Where I live we see the sheep herdsman wagons all the time, but I had never seen them up close or the inside, so I thought you might like to see what the herdsman wagons looked like too.
I think these wagons would be fun for camping, don't you!

At night there was a ranch hand rodeo also.

So many people worked hard and together to make the event happen It is impossible to list everyone because so many people pitched in to help. But two people really need to be mentioned because they made this event happen . They are Jeff Cole and Carmen Stevens. Those of you who are 4-H members, leaders and parents who helped A big thank You.

Last but not least thanks to all in the Gooding and other communities for coming out and supporting our 4-H program.
